Got a list of marketing tasks you’ve been putting off? Whether you’re trying to build a website, set up your first email newsletter, or figure out a social media strategy, you don’t have to tackle it alone.
Artist Marketing Club is a monthly co-working and problem-solving club for DSAL artists. Bring your laptop, your log-ins, and your current digital projects.
What to Expect
+ Dedicated Co-Working Time: This is not a training, we will actually be working on your marketing.
+ Peer Support & Feedback: Get a second pair of eyes on your layout, copy, or strategy.
+ Troubleshooting: Work through technical roadblocks together instead of searching through endless tutorials alone.
+ A Tech-Friendly, Jargon-Free Space: Ask questions without feeling intimidated—no technical background required. Beginners welcomed!
What to Bring
+ Your laptop and chargers.
+ A specific project or goal for the session (e.g., “I want to draft my next newsletter” or “I need to update my portfolio page”).
+ Questions!
Whether you’re starting from scratch or just need accountability to hit “publish,” drop in and get it done alongside fellow DSAL members. Beginners welcome! Tech-challenged welcome!

Woo Woo Artists Wanted!
Salt & Light Wellness Spa, one of DSAL’s community partners, is celebrating its first anniversary on Monday, September 14 from 6–8 PM with an art opening featuring DSAL artists Jessi Bostad and Jennifer Friedman.
DSAL artists who create magical, mystical, spiritual, celestial, metaphysical, intuitive, nature-inspired, or otherwise wonderfully woo-woo artwork or handmade items are invited to set up and sell outside during the celebration—there is no vendor fee! Vendors provide their own table or weighted tent and display setup.

Songwriters Festival Art Call closes Sept. 15
Sell your art in the DSAL Art Lounge! The festival’s exclusive visual art market. DSAL manages the store, staffing, checkout, sales tax, and artist payments.

This is our all-media creative gathering. Bring a project or just show up and explore. We’ll have watercolor, markers, collage, colored pencils, zentangle materials, and more ready for you.

Business of Art: Taxation and Retirement

Are you interested in directly supporting the Dripping Springs High School Art Department and its student artists this spring?
This March, DSHS will be hosting VASE, the Visual Arts Scholastic Event. The event will be held at the DS Middle School and VASE requires a large team of art judges.
Judging is an all-day commitment, and judges complete online training beforehand. Judges provide students with thoughtful, constructive feedback about their artwork, making this an especially great fit for those of you who already have experience teaching, mentoring, critiquing, or working with developing artists.
Judges are compensated for their time. Compensation will be approximately $175 for the day.

Mars Beads is hosting a HAAM benefit on September 22 from 6–9 p.m., and we currently have eight spaces available for visual artists.
The event space is free for artists who would like to bring artwork or other items to sell. The one request is that each participating artist donate one piece of artwork to benefit HAAM. The piece will be auctioned off that night for the benefit. In addition, 10% of all sales from the evening will be donated by Mars Beads to HAAM.
HAAM stands for Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. It is an Austin nonprofit that helps working musicians access affordable healthcare.
