About the Art Call

We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to our DSAL members to be part of a unique art opportunity:

• As part of Songwriter’s Festival weekend, we will have shirts for sale to the general public and provided to our artist volunteers 
• Here’s your chance to design the graphic that will be seen by all.
• Artists will receive a $250 cash reward.

Theme

Where Music Meets Art

• The goal is for the artwork to celebrate the intersection of music, art, and the Texas Hill Country while remaining timeless and wearable beyond a single event year. 

  Suggested design elements include:

  • Acoustic guitars and other music-inspired imagery
  • Songwriting themes such as lyrics, notebooks, or musical notes
  • Texas Hill Country landscapes
  • Wildflowers and native flora
  • Oak trees, creeks, rolling hills, and other recognizable Dripping Springs features
  • Artistic interpretations of the connection between music and visual art
  • Imagery that reflects the creative culture of Dripping Springs

• Original designs only (no AI-generated, stock images, or photos of paintings) 
• High-resolution (300+ DPI) required.
• The image will be printed no larger than 11” in width.
• Please save it in a JPG/JPEG format for submission.
  • Note that the selected final artwork file type might differ.
• No limit to the number of colors. The image will be printed on a light colored t-shirt.
• The DSAL has the right to ask for modifications to designs.
• There is no submission fee, and artists may submit up to three entries.
• Please note that all images and details must also be submitted by July 24th.

Important Dates:

• July 1 – Artist Call Opens
• July 24 – Art Submission deadline
• July 31 – Notification of acceptance via email. Contract agreement based on the terms above will be provided for execution.
