Oil Painting Landscapes Workshop

Shea Daniel-Youngblood is a Central Texas artist living in San Antonio, Texas.  She is an award winning oil painter, and is in demand  as an art show juror and instructor.  Her work is featured at Prudencia Gallery in San Antonio, among many other galleries and venues.  You will find her almost daily painting beautiful and iconic spots in the city.

This two day workshop will be held in the Studio at Primal Gallery, Dripping Springs. Shea will demonstrate important landscape painting strategies, such as composition, value structures, color, and creating meaningful brushmarks that enhance the feeling and mood of a landscape painting. She will also guide participants on how to capture the necessary aspects of a scene, and block out unnecessary details. A supply list will be released to participants shortly after registration. This workshop is a must for landscape and plein air painters, but studio painters will find the information Shea demonstrates quite valuable for still life painters as well.

Shea will demonstrate techniques during the morning sessions each day, and guide participants in their own work during the afternoon.
