About the Exhibit

We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to our DSAL members to be part of a distinctive art exhibit which will run from May 1 – May 31, 2025.

• The DSAL has the opportunity to participate in a new feature at Art Direct called the Society Spotlight, where they shine a light on art societies and associations, celebrating their collective creativity and showcasing their incredible work in their gallery.
• It will highlight the whole group and all the talent our members bring. This feature will stay up the entire month of May and we will have access to 320 square feet of display space (two 2 ft by 8 ft roller walls, each 8 ft high).
• With numerous customers and visitors passing through each week, this is your chance to showcase your talent to a diverse audience.
• This is an open call with no particular theme.
• There will be an Artist Reception May 8th. All artists are welcome to attend along with family and friends.

Key Exhibition Details  (Please review additional details and exhibition information here.)

• Artwork submissions should align with a “family-friendly” theme. Submitted works should refrain from featuring nudity, political or religious statements, violence, or sexualized content, as these elements will not be accepted.
• We welcome a diverse range of artistic expressions in various mediums, including but not limited to oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed media, gouache, fiber art, collage, digital creations, drawings, and charcoal. Small 3D work (no larger than 11”x14”) will also be accepted for this call. 
• All showcased pieces will be offered for sale, and the entire proceeds (100%) will be directed to the respective artist.
• Artwork must be prepared for wall hanging, complete with all required hardware securely attached. All artwork must be wall-mountable.
  • We strongly encourage D-rings with wire mounted ⅓ from the top. Sawtooth hangers can fail.
• DSAL will facilitate all sales of Artwork, including payment directly to the Artist and Buyer’s Artwork pickup
• Non-refundable submission fee: $30 for up to three entries; $5 for each additional entry not to exceed 5 entries.
